Prof. Dr. Arshad Fouad Majeed, Head of the Banking and Financial Sciences Department, Holds Workshop

The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences in the College of Business at AlShaab University held a workshop on Saturday, January 14, 2023 entitled The Five Types of Active Learning. It was attended by a number of deans, heads of departments, and professors at the university.

Prof. Dr. Arshad Fouad Majeed explained how higher education has been designed to meet the needs of the labor market in recent years, and he explained how active learning increases the desire and passion of students to increase their level of achievement and gain a deeper understanding of course content. He focused on how students learn to take initiative in presenting ideas and opinions and how this enhances self-confidence in completing tasks proficiently.

Following the presentation was an open discussion on the application of the five types within training, curricula, and instruction.

The main objective of holding these activities is to implement a strategy of creating synergy between skills and education, and how to apply the five types of active learning at AlShaab University within the framework of our motto: skills and education.
