It is supervised by specialists holding doctoral degrees and scientific qualifications..
Vision
Elevating laboratory work and achieving an advanced scientific status that distinguishes it from other medical microbiology laboratories in Iraqi universities. This is accomplished through adopting educational and practical programs for microbiology in all its specialties and providing continuous training for the staff.
Message
In addition to the cognitive aspect of microbiology, the laboratory aims to enhance students' practical skills in line with the requirements of medical laboratory specialists and diagnostic analysis. It organizes workshops on disease diagnosis for students and graduates.
Objectives
- Teaching and training students on the basic principles of safety and security in handling microorganisms.
- Teaching and training students on the basic principles and methods used in sterilization and disinfection.
- Training students on the proper standardized procedures for using scientifically and internationally accredited laboratory equipment.
- Identifying the sub-specialties of microbiology, their forms, and methods of diagnosis in the laboratory.
- Understanding the methods of microbial and parasitic infection transmission, controlling them, and developing students' skills through mental questions, answers, and laboratory-specific scientific tests.
