Assistant Professor Dr. Abd al-Rahman Najm Abd, a member of the committee formed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to ensure quality standards are being met in Iraqi universities, visited AlShaab University and met with Dr. Youssef Khalaf Youssef, University president.
During the meeting, a number of academic and scientific issues and matters related to the quality of education in Iraq and the way to advance it were discussed, including a discussion of Ministerial Order No. 1571 issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on May 2, 2023. Regarding the formation of a committee to evaluate the scientific and academic quality of the colleges of administrative and economic sciences in public institutions as well as their corresponding departments in private universities and colleges, where these committees, which will be headed by a number of professors and teaching staff in all Iraqi universities and according to the geographical area of these universities, will undertake the evaluation process according to a special form prepared in advance by The Committee of Deans of the Faculties of Administrative and Economic Sciences. After the visiting representative conducted an inspection of the university campus, its colleges and its scientific branches, expressing his admiration for the scientific curricula, methods and modern teaching methods used in AlShaab University, as well as the ongoing construction operations to expand the university and increase the number of its classrooms, practical laboratories and a number of vital facilities in the university.
