Under the coordination of the Department of Student Activities, AlShaab University students participated in a campaign to provide aid to needy families in certain areas of Baghdad in light of the numerous hardships they continue to face. We pray that this provides some relief, and that their circumstances improve quickly.
The Volunteer Committee, established by the Department of Student Activities, started a campaign called “Save Others” to call attention to the needs of local families. Twenty families in the areas of Al-Sayyidiyah, Al-Adhamiya and Al-Atifiyah were selected to participate in the campaign.
AlShaab University encourages community engagement activities as they not only improve society as a whole but also play a role in building self-esteem among students and a sense of responsibility to one’s community. The academic and moral gains students make during their academic careers at AlShaab University provide them with the skills and knowledge to change society for the better.
