Assistant Professor Dr. Bilal Rasheed Abdul Majeed, Vice President of AlShaab University for Scientific Affairs, stated that artificial intelligence (AI) has the ability to process data faster, more accurately, and in greater volumes than the human brain.
In an interview on the "Yawm Jadeed," program broadcast on Al-Rasheed TV, Dr. Abdul Majeed explained that AI simulates human intelligence in learning, managing, and processing large amounts of data with speed and precision that surpasses human capabilities. He emphasized that AI can perform millions of operations in fractions of a second. Dr. Abdul Majeed noted that AI relies on systems and rules that align with changing and constant variables and is a technology developed to improve the environment in which people live. He predicted significant and widespread advancements in AI in the near future.
Dr. Abdul Majeed also highlighted that AlShaab University is the first in Iraq to establish and open an Artificial Intelligence Department as an engineering discipline, which has successfully attracted a large number of students interested in studying this important field at the university.
