To understand and enhance the principles and basics of civil defense within the university campus, and to follow safety procedures and precautions during fires and accidents, AlShaab University, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Center in Al-Bayaa, part of the Civil Defense Directorate in the Baghdad-Karkh sector, organized a training course in civil defense for its teaching, administrative, and technical staff. The course was presented by Major Mohammed Hashem Douhi from the Al-Bayaa Civil Defense Center.
During the course, Major Douhi discussed the meaning and concept of civil defense and its fundamentals, explained the types and causes of fires, the factors contributing to their outbreak, and the methods used to contain and control them. He provided a detailed explanation of the types of fire extinguishers, their components, and how to use and maintain them regularly.
