A delegation from the Communications and Media Commission, represented by its president, Dr. Ali Hussein Al-Mouyad, and his deputy, Mr. Aws Al-Awadi, visited AlShaab University and met with the university's president, Prof. Dr Yousif Al-Dunainawi. During the visit, a mechanism for joint bilateral cooperation was signed and strengthened in various academic, scientific, research, training, administrative, legal, and developmental fields. The agreement aims to develop students' skills and training, enrich various scientific and practical knowledge, and develop the institutions' staff through mutual experiences. The president of the Communications and Media Commission emphasized that the agreement represents the correct path for professional relationships with specialized scientific and academic institutions related to the commission's work. He stated that the commission's work cannot be organized without the presence of active academic and scientific elites, emphasizing that the commission's assets are university students. Building close and integrated relationships between the two sides will open up opportunities for broader relations and cooperation to develop the telecommunications and information technology sector in Iraq. He emphasized the government's significant interest in the telecommunications and information technology sector within its ministerial agenda and stressed the importance of keeping pace with developments in this sector.
Furthermore, the visiting delegation, accompanied by the president of AlShaab University, conducted a field tour that included the university's corridors, classrooms, scientific laboratories, central library, vital facilities, urban projects, and closely examined the details, advantages, and academic and educational visions of the university.
