As part of the scientific activities week at AlShaab University and to enhance specialized scientific visits to vital sites in both the public and private sectors, the Departments of Financial Sciences and Banking, and Business Administration organized a scientific visit to the Iraq Stock Exchange accompanied by the Head of the Department of Finance and Banking, Dr. Arshad Fuad Majid, and the Head of the Accounting Department, Dr. Sahar Tarek Mahmoud, along with several professors, lecturers, and students from both departments. The visit took place on Sunday, February 18, 2024.During the visit, students were acquainted with the functions and operations of the stock market and the mechanisms employed therein. The sessions included theoretical and practical lectures focusing on the role of the market in regulating the trading of stocks and financial bonds. The students engaged with the lectures extensively and found them highly informative and beneficial.
