In the spirit of Ramadan, and as part of its efforts to enhance cooperation, solidarity, and synergy among all segments of society, the Al-Bar-Rahim Foundation for Relief and Development, in cooperation with AlShaab University, held an Iftar banquet for university students from all governorates on Tuesday, April 11. Attending the event were AlShaab University President Dr. Youssef Khalaf, Al-Berr Al-Rahim Foundation for Relief and Development President, Muhannad Al-Amari, Al-Berr Al-Rahim Foundation for Relief and Development General Supervisor, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sarraj, and a number of AlShaab University faculty and staff.
Dr. Khalaf gave a speech in which he spoke to the efforts and initiatives of the Foundation, and how they are particularly valued in society during the month of mercy and solidarity. Dr. Khalaf noted that this was especially true for students, stressing the university's pledge to support activities that would strengthen ties among educational institutions and university students. This is the promise of the President of the Al-Birr Al-Rahim Foundation for Relief and Development.
This initiative bridges communication between the University and its students, and it creates an opportunity to embrace the student population across Iraq. It is one example of the continuous support and guidance provided by AlShaab University to students from all institutions, colleges, and departments, adding notes of faith to this special Ramadan evening.
AlShaab University students praised and appreciated this event as it reflects the keenness of the University to give them a sense of belonging; they are a part of the AlShaab University family comprised of the President, faculty and staff.
The banquet included the distribution of Ramadan food baskets by the Al-Birr Al-Rahim Foundation for Relief and Development to the university students in attendance.
The organization of the popular game of Al-Muhaibis by university students gave this Ramadan evening a special feeling.
