AlShaab University has linked its five scientific laboratories to a digital data network connected to the main university system as part of the university’s digital transformation initiative. The university seeks to be the first digital university in Iraq by the end of this year.
The College of Engineering’s laboratories are each equipped with 25 modern computers with the latest operating systems connected to a high-speed, optical network. Professors and students can access the university’s main system to monitor and complete assignments.
The Department of Information Technology has also taken a step towards developing the University's digital infrastructure by implementing a resource management system for staff to manage the university's short and long-term affairs. This system marks a significant contribution to the University's digital transformation goals.
