AlShaab University maintains its commitment to promoting skills and education at the digital level by expanding and enhancing the University Library’s digital collection to keep pace with modern international universities.
The university’s digital library system is now linked to public Iraqi universities as well as to international universities. It provides a platform through which thousands of books, research, reports, modern scientific journals, and recently published articles can be accessed.
The platform is designed to connect students and teachers to digital sites and resources available in Iraq and to help them overcome the obstacles to research and intellectual development across all fields
The digital platform complements the Library’s physical space, which includes eight glass-enclosed private meeting rooms equipped with video screens linked to the main system, allowing for discussion and collaboration among researchers.
AlShaab University seeks to realize its vision of a comprehensive library that keeps pace with modern developments. The Central Library is equipped with an integrated sound system with its own sound mixer which is linked to a wireless operating system. The addition of loudspeakers attached to the ceiling, and fixed and mobile microphones make the Library an ideal location for holding workshops, panel discussions, conferences, and celebrations related to university and community affairs.
The high-resolution main screen in the central hall of the Library, which is used in official conferences, workshops, and presentations, is from a well-known international brand. It has been linked to the sound system of the library and equipped with enhancements for the screen theater. A podium and stage provide maximum visibility by creating a space separated from the audience.
The library also includes large numbers of books, which the University strives to expand and revise periodically, across the range of academic fields offered on campus.
