Prof. Dr. Yousif Al-Dunainawi, a member of the Prime Minister's Committee (Decree 23821), participated in an extended meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani on Sunday, September 8, 2024, with members of the committee. The meeting focused on finalizing the requirements for the launch of the Iraqi Digital Knowledge Portal Initiative. The Prime Minister highlighted that initiatives like these are fitting for a country like Iraq, with its rich cultural and historical heritage. He emphasized that the initiative will enhance Iraq’s global knowledge exchange, helping the country keep pace with the rapid scientific and technological advancements, particularly in higher education, education, and culture.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to digitization and electronic transformation across various sectors and applications to ensure access to knowledge and drive progress in all areas. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Yousif Al-Dunainawi, President of AlShaab University, gave a detailed presentation on the importance and philosophy behind the Iraqi Digital Knowledge Portal, focusing on the digitization of Iraq’s scientific output alongside its cultural and heritage assets.
