In a distinctive Ramadan evening, AlShaab University organized an extensive panel discussion titled 'The Federal Service Council and its Role in Appointments.' The esteemed President of the Federal Service Council, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, presented during the event. The President of AlShaab University, Prof. Dr Yousif Al-Dunainawi, along with several parliamentary figures, professors, lecturers, and university students, attended the session. The university president delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the appointment issue, which concerns many, highlighting the university's commitment to shedding light on vital topics affecting various segments of society through purposeful academic forums. These forums yield positive outcomes, providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter up for discussion and study. The session, moderated by Dr. Ali Mohammed Naima, Dean of the Law College, commenced with Mr. Mahmoud Al-Tamimi elaborating on the establishment phases, genesis, and motivating circumstances surrounding the formation of the Council. He elucidated on the nature, mechanisms, goals, future vision, and role of the Council in overseeing and organizing public service affairs in Iraq, enhancing its standards, developing public service, ensuring equal opportunities, and guaranteeing equality for qualified individuals seeking employment. He noted that over 30,000 holders of advanced degrees and top performers in undergraduate studies will have the opportunity for appointment this year. Additionally, he highlighted that tens of thousands of other high achievers with advanced degrees are eligible for government employment.
The panel discussion witnessed interventions, questions, and inquiries from attendees, enriching the dialogue with valuable insights. At the end of the session, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, the esteemed President of the Federal Service Council, was honored with the university's shield in appreciation of his active participation in the event.
