Election of a Faculty Representative at AlShaab University through Successful Democratic Elections

In embodiment of the democratic principles and practices that AlShaab University is committed to instilling within the university campus, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Khamees Abdullah Ali, along with professors, deans of colleges, heads of scientific departments, and all faculty members, an election was held today, Saturday, January 20, 2024, to choose a representative from the faculty at the university. The election took place through manual voting in the Central Library Hall of the university, under the supervision of a special committee appointed by the university presidency. The committee was chaired by Dr. Ali Mohammad Nama, with the membership of Mr. Abdulmohsen Mahmoud and Ms. Ibtisam Abdul Amir Jabbar to monitor the electoral process. In the elections, where three professors and instructors competed, Ms. Rawaa Talib Obeid, a lecturer in the Law Department, emerged as the winner, securing 27 votes out of a total of 63 votes. The voting process proceeded smoothly with full transparency in all its details and stages.
