Overview of the College of Health and Medical Technology
The College of Health and Medical Technologies, affiliated with the Alshaab's University, was established as one of the private higher education institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2023 in the Baghdad Governorate. It received its establishment license based on the Council of Ministers' decision numbered (206) for the year 2022, starting from the academic year 2022-2023.
The college seeks to achieve its goals and mission in building programs in Medical and Health Technologies through its three current academic departments: Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Physics, and Biochemistry. These departments form the nucleus for opening new scientific departments in the field of medical and health specializations.
Graduates of the college are awarded a Bachelor's degree in the field of specialization in the scientific department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Physics, and Biochemistry upon the successful completion of the full-time four-year academic program. All students study the same curriculum throughout all academic levels, typically starting with teaching fundamental science subjects to build a strong foundation of knowledge, information, and basic laboratory skills. This prepares the student for the practical and training phase and conducting research projects, ultimately preparing them to graduate in the field of Medical and Health Sciences to serve the community.
