AlShaab University Expands with Construction of New Building

AlShaab University’s latest construction project, a five-story, 4052 m² building (B5), is nearing completion. Designed according to international specifications, the building comprises 12 auditoriums, 150 classrooms of different sizes and 15 laboratories. Each floor is equipped with a faculty lounge and administrative offices. Other features include an elevator, an escalator, two indoor gardens and a two-floor cafeteria which overlooks the university center.

With the completion of the structure of the first three floors, including four auditoriums and 30 classrooms, the construction project has reached 60% completion.

Electrical and Sanitation work have begun, and the iron structure for the fourth and fifth floors has been installed.

Secondary electric cables are being equipped with circuit breakers, porcelain floors are being laid, and elevator shafts for faculty elevators are being constructed

The University is monitoring the progress of the manufacture of the escalator, and preparing for the installation of flooring.

The project is scheduled to be completed in early June.
