Workshop at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at AlShaab University: Training the teaching laboratory staff on the use of modern laboratory equipment.

In an effort to create a conducive learning environment and provide advanced infrastructure and sophisticated scientific laboratories that contribute to strengthening and elevating the educational process, the College of Health and Medical Technologies at AlShaab University organized a workshop on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The workshop was attended and supervised by the Head of the Medical Laboratories Department, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohammed Naif, and involved the participation of several professors and instructors. The workshop aimed to train the teaching laboratory staff on the use of modern laboratory equipment recently acquired by the university. These include ordinary and automatic optical spectrophotometers, a device for measuring body fat percentage, centrifuges, water baths, and various medical microscopes and sterilization devices. The workshop witnessed significant engagement from the teaching staff and laboratory personnel, as it serves to transfer experiences and sufficient information about the usage of these devices to students during their practical lessons in the specialties of medical laboratory techniques, biochemistry, and medical physics.
