AlShaab University is one of the official sponsors of the Fourth International Conference on Geographic Information Systems and Smart Cities held by the Ministerial Council for National Security.
The opening ceremony was held on February sixth in the Hall of Ceremonies at Baghdad’s International Fairgrounds Mr. Qassem Al-Araji, National Security Adviser, attended the opening of the conference activities accompanied by the Minister of Education, university presidents, and a number of deputies and foreign guests, including ambassadors, and advisors.
The Conference continues for three days, from the sixth to the eighth of this month, in which a number of local experts in the fields of smart cities, geography, and information systems will participate alongside a number of foreign experts. In total, nineteen workshops will be held on the diagnostic aspects of information systems issues. AlShaab University will participate in day two of the Conference workshops on building smart cities and cybersecurity, as Dr. Youssef Khalaf, AlShaab University President, presents a workshop in the Al-Nahrain Center Hall. The Department of Relations and Media at the university will follow the rest of the activities and events of the conference.
