The Banking and Financial Sciences major is one of the main and leading departments in the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences. This department aims to provide students with a variety of knowledge and applied skills that adequately qualify them to interact with the modern business environment, by linking financial and economic concepts with business realities in banks, financial markets and insurance companies. So that graduates in this specialization can join work in various sectors of governmental and private economic activity, including the institutions of the banking system such as the central bank, commercial banks and Islamic banks in addition to insurance companies, investment companies and other financial institutions.
The department’s graduates are granted a bachelor’s degree in the Department of Banking and Finance Sciences. The duration of the study is four years. The student studies a range of subjects, including (banking cost accounting, management principles, accounting principles, financial management).

Admission Input
- Graduates of the sixth preparatory with average 50 are accepted, including: scientific (biology. practical), literary and commerce(general and accounting)
- A grade is added to the average for successful students from the first attempt
- Two degrees are added to the average for students who have obtained a technical diploma
- 0.5 become a full degree
- 8 degrees are added to the minimum average for the families of the martyrs
- 8 degrees are added to the minimum average for political prisoners (themselves, not their families)
- 5 degrees are added to the minimum average for students who have a parent with academics and postgraduate degree
