The Department of Student Activities and its director, Dr. Natiq Muhammad, held an awards ceremony on Wednesday, January 18th for the winners of the first table tennis tournament at AlShaab University. In attendance were the University president, deans, heads of departments, and students.
The table tennis tournament was held between the top male and female students who reached the finals of the tournament today. Winners of the final round were determined by a15-minute three-game match. Abdul Rahman Ahmed, a student in the Department of Medical Devices Engineering, won second place. Ali Amer, a student in the Department of Business Administration, won first place. Both winners received a cup, a medal, and a gift. AlShaab University is keen to support these types of activities as sports help students acquire skills students need throughout their academic studies.
